Hookers or Cake

I find the old picture

like a forgotten candy bar tucked away in ones boot

only to be remembered in the middle of a munchie fueled, drug

crazed search



It is in quiet moments like this that I meditate on thee

You break out and are upon me

like the warm shhuddering piss of a walrus at a breakfast buffet

I find myself helpless

and in awe of your immense power and grace



The Greek Chorus may taunt me

singing (to the tune of Camptown Ladies) “Johnny Cash didn’t have

a mustache - doo-da - doo-da”

but I simply smile to myself, because I know the truth…



Just because you don’t see a mustache doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

The mustache that can spoke of

    is not the eternal mustache

The understanding that can be understood

    is not wisdom


For the mustache is the beginning of heaven and earth

    it is the mother of all things


Mustachioed one can see the entire mystery

Mustacheless one only sees the manifestation


These two ways of being are identical

       they only differ in name


The mustache exists

     only when it does not

This is the gateway to all mystery.

What is kickstarter? Ohh my friends, its just the most awesome and wonderful way to produce crazy AND unique art. You pledge some $$$ to a specific artist for a project, they make and produce that art project and then you get the art.

Some of you may be familiar with the little Choose Your Own Mustache Adventure that I did online.

Well I thought it would be fun to turn that into a full length book. I also wanted to collaborate on a book with some friends… so I combined the two ideas and have come up with Choose Your Own Author. The book will be quite similar in style to the Choose Your Own Adventure books from when we were kids, only this book will be for adults and authored by many wonderfully creative and insane people. I also have various artists contributing different illustrations as well.

Some of the authors so far are , Philip T. Hunter, Aurora Adams, Nathan T. Dean, Jade Bos, Fake H. S. Thompson and a couple of the old Viking Youth Power hour podcast guys. It’ll be fun, wild and mind blowingly delicious.
