Andy Reid to star in new ABC sit-com, Clock Management.
A new show written by Jade Bos, who also penned Hookers or Cake. It will be “A fresh ensemble comedy about the individual struggle for love and acceptance.” It centers on Andy, the role written with Reid in mind, as a optimistic but socially retarded football coach who, after his most recent firing and divorce, moves from Philadelphia to LA to coach a new NFL team. Hi-jinks ensue when Andy moves in with his niece and her 2 beautiful roommates who all happen to work in the adult entertainment industry.
A unnamed source at ABC said the pilot not only contains a “ton of huge laughs” but culminates with Reid performing a “tearful Shakespearean soliloquy” in front of a bathroom mirror. “Its truly epic in scope,” said the source.
Just a few of Reid’s “fun” character traits
- He has no concept of time and is therefore a terrible game manager. As a result he is always burning frozen pizza’s and showing up at the wrong place at the wrong time.
- He constantly wears his NFL headset and carries on full conversations with the disembodied soul of Philip K. Dick. Most of the conversations revolve around the true nature of reality and whether or not Andy isn’t perhaps just a figment of Philip K. Dicks imagination and not vice-versa.
- Andy has fake breast implants as a result of a terrible accident.
- He’s a heavy sweater and a violent sneezer.
- He has a psychic connection with cats.
- His true passion is dream analysis.
Perhaps ABC has finally found a suitable replacement for LOST?
