      ------------------------------------ There was a large painting of Evel Knievel shaking hands with Richard Nixon. It hung in the Mayors office. Late one evening after everyone went home. I took it down to the lab. I zoomed in on Evel’s left eye a 100x and enhanced it. It was an address. I went to the address. It was a modest, 1970’s style, split level ranch home in the suburbs.

      ----------------------------------- Inside I found a dead parrot lying on a waterbed. I revived the parrot with some saltines and adrenaline. We became good friends. The parrots name was Randy. One night a few years later while Randy and me played Gin Rummy, he sang me a song about a fire. The title of this blog was never mentioned but I sensed it, and Randy confirmed it by giving me ‘THE LOOK’.

            UC Davis chancellor Linda Katehi – the school official who OK’d the violent assault on students for peacefully protesting – was greeted by three city blocks of students on the way to her car, all of whom gave her the silent treatment. Click to watch. It’s an eerie yet powerful protest. 

            Kateni is the moron who thought it would be wise to have the police clear out 20 tents on the campus quad because it was a health and saftey risk. 

            Yeah get a bunch of police over there in riot gear with guns… to clear out a peaceful protest for saftey concerns… why not just have GODZILLA PICK UP TRASH ON THE INTERSTATE! you stupid fucking paper pusher.

            In other news 70 year old year US Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner, Robert Hass and his wife got smacked around at the UC campus protest - Hass wrote about in the NY Times
