According to a 2007 Pew Forum poll, the strongest supporters of the death penalty are white evangelical Christians, at 74%.
Sadly its not surprising that a religious group whose God and savior was unjustly executed by the Roman state would overwhelming support the death penalty. Christians on the whole are about as un-Christ like as a group can get.
What I really don’t understand is, lets just set aside all philosophical, religious and political differences just for one minute and ask a massively simple question.
Even if you support the death penalty do you really trust the government and our justice system to get it 100% right? Really?
